The mission You gave me has come to an end.

I suppose You have another task for me waiting around the bend.

Please don’t leave me hanging Lord or turning in the wind.

I know where I’m coming from but not where I’m headed to.

I need instruction Lord, please tell me what to do.

If there is no firm direction, at least give me a hint or two.

How are we doing Lord?

I can generate momentum if you show me the way to go.

Should I plow on straight ahead, turn right or left go up high or low?

I turn to You for guidance; tell me what I need to know.

How are we doing Lord?

If I am to be your spokesman, I need the words to say.

I’ll await your guidance; I’ll wait right here even if it takes all day.

But if you have no course correction then I guess I’m doing OK.

But if I’m not doing what you want, I need a sign from You.

I’m willing to change my course if that is what you want me to do.

In the absence of storms and thunderbolts, I’ll assume my course is true.
